Training Model

Project management and business process thinking are often considered different disciplines, yet organisations get the best results when they work in harmony with each other. Achieving this requires education in the recent alignment of terminology, interfaces, concepts, and direction within best practice.

Our nuTraining model reflects this, in that all of the products come from the same source (AXELOS®, previously OGC), and they are the methods and frameworks that we use on a day-to-day basis in our Advisory engagements.

Central to our training model are ITIL® and PRINCE2®:

  • ITIL® v3: A comprehensive set of IT service management courses, focusing on business processes and functions required to transform a technology unit into an IT Service Provider.
  • PRINCE2® (PRojects IN a Controlled Environment): A clear and concise project management method used on any size project that can be tailored to any business environment.

Each individual course has been designed to not only certify the candidate, but to also assist in organisational transformation. We have offered accredited training to the general public for many years, and always strive to share our up-to-the-minute knowledge and experience with those who want to learn.

Note: Our business process training is delivered as part of our end-to-end process design service.

Our training model also shows other best practice guidance that interfaces directly with the courses we deliver, and directly support organisational transformation and complement the courses we deliver ITIL® and PRINCE2® - if you have completed training in the areas under the outer purple ring, you can be confident that our courses will prove to be an invaluable addition to your professional toolkit.

  • Managing Successful Programmes (MSP®): Managing multiple projects over extended periods of time, developing target operating models, blueprints, and visions.
  • Management of Portfolios (MoP®): Managing the investment of core business streams in an ordered, controlled manner.
  • Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O®): Provides detailed, practical advice for the programme and/or project offices.
  • Management of Risk (M_o_R®): A framework for managing risks that complements all other areas of guidance in the model.
  • Management of Value (MoV®): Guidance on strategic and tactical decision making relating to the delivery of value across the portfolio.
